Session Info & Rates

I limit my sessions to two a day at a private studio, which means you won’t have strangers staring at you through the window and the space will be cleaned thoroughly between shoots. I am on your schedule and give plenty of time between shoots so that we can go at your pace. No worries about the timer starting as soon as you open the door, no gruff call of ‘Last Shot!’ before you’re shooed out of the studio, and lots of time to find the settings that work for you. I won’t drag the session out beyond your time, but we don’t need to rush either. I’m experienced enough to get the lighting, posing and composition arranged quickly and efficiently, so most of our session will be put toward finding the right expressions and getting the shots you want.

Your headshot should be an expression of who you are. Most other photography sessions won’t get this right because It takes time and experience to discover each client’s unique attributes and help them comfortably show them. I want your headshots to convey confidence, not worry. We might find our rhythm right away or it might take a few tries. Either way, I won’t be watching the clock and we’ll have plenty of time to go through everything. 

With my experience, I’ll be able to walk you through the entire process. Expressions, angles, hair, and everything else that makes a great headshot are right in my wheelhouse. The best headshots are relaxed, approachable, competent, and confident, but you can’t exude all that if you’re trying to keep track of how you look. Throughout the session, we will look through the shots we take and follow the energy of the session, so we can build a great experience or we change directions and try something else out if necessary. A good headshot is your best first impression, so we make sure that we take the time to get it right. 

I strive for a fun, relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and gets us quality headshots from the beginning.

After we’ve finished shooting, we’ll sit down with a bottle of water or a cup of coffee and go through all of the images we took in the session. From there, you’ll pick your favorites to be professionally edited and retouched. I’ll give you as much—or as little—input on the shots as you need. Sometimes, that extra eye can help and you should feel comfortable walking away with great pictures. As well as high-resolution JPEGS, I’ll send you some custom-sized and cropped images for social media platforms like LinkedIn that you’ll be able to take right from your desktop and post wherever you want without worrying about them being the right size.
